Our Story - Vancouver All Stars Baseball Camp

Vancouver All Stars Baseball is the premier summer baseball camp for boys and girls ages 6 ~ 13 to learn, develop and grow through the sport of baseball. Whether your child is brand new to the sport or an experienced veteran, Vancouver All Stars encourages boys and girls to take part in British Columbia’s #1 summer sports experience!

We are in our 8th official year of operation since our inception in 2007. Vancouver All Stars Baseball has trained Hollywood actor Zac Efron & child actor Charlie Tahan, worked with Toronto Blue Jays Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar, and has hosted enthusiastic baseball players from around the globe!

Vancouver All Stars Baseball has been featured in: The Globe & Mail Life, Telus TV myCommunity health & wellness, Shaw Television, the Vancouver Courier, the Vancouver Shinpo and more!


We strive to provide a fun, safe and exciting environment that fosters fundamental baseball and softball skills and techniques for young, aspiring athletes in the Greater Vancouver area and surrounding communities. We believe that sport is an excellent way for children to learn and to grow. It’s ok to make mistakes; learning is a life-long process that takes time and commitment.


In addition to improving their overall playing ability, players will develop an understanding of: TEAMWORK | LEADERSHIP | GOAL SETTING | COMMUNICATION | CO-OPERATION

Paul Granat


Paul has been working with children in sports for well over 10 years. As a NCCP certified baseball coach, Paul has been actively involved with baseball in the Vancouver community after having played the sport at a competitive level for over 15 years.

As a graduate, as well as past Student Council President and Valedictorian of the University of British Columbia’s specialized Bachelor of Human Kinetics program, a school within the Faculty of Education, Paul brings an in depth knowledge of the fundamental baseball skills and movements necessary to learn the game, as well as an understanding of advanced baseball techniques and training methods. Additionally Paul’s background in coaching methodology; exercise and sport biomechanics; kinesthetic learning; physical education; health, leisure & wellness; as well as sports development & management is an asset to the families living in the Greater Vancouver area and surrounding communities.

The UBC School of Kinesiology is considered a global leader in a discipline devoted to the comprehensive and systematic study of human movement and its relationships to physical culture and health. Students are instructed by some of the top professors and researchers in the field of human movement as part of a global university that is committed to fostering global citizenship as well as a civil and sustainable society.

The mission of the International Baseball Association is to promote the growth of baseball through the development of facilities, training programs and tourist opportunities in strategic locations throughout the world. Vancouver All Stars Director, Paul Granat, is actively involved with the IBA through their newest infrastructure development project in Nicaragua. In addition to working with the IBA, Paul has scouted independently throughout the world including Japan, the United States, Nicaragua, Cuba & Panama.

Vancouver All Stars Director, Paul Granat, was invited to work alongside Hollywood actor Zac Efron (High School Musical) and child star Charlie Tahan (I am Legend) to teach and hone in each actor’s baseball skills, techniques, and form for the Universal Pictures production, Charlie St. Cloud (2009). Paul worked with both actors on set in British Columbia as well as locally at Carnarvon Park in Vancouver.

& the Baseball Hall of Fame

Vancouver All Stars Director, Paul Granat, received a personal invitation from the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball organization to coach alongside recent Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, Roberto Alomar, for their special baseball camp held annually in Vancouver. Paul also was fortunate to work with Ed Sprague, who has won a NCAA Championship, Olympic Gold Medal, and World Series Ring in the sport of baseball, as well as outfielder Lloyd Moseby and Toronto pitching stand-out Duane Ward.

In January, 2012, the Canadian national Little League team, from British Columbia, visited Uganda, Africa on a goodwill tour. During their visit, the Canadian team donated equipment, held training sessions as well as helped create baseball diamonds for local athletes.

Vancouver All Stars has been an avid supporter of the Canadian national Little League team and their participation the Pearl of Africa Baseball Series.
